About

I've been a vegetarian for about 15 years. A hard feat coming from a very carnivorous family, and being the only vegetarian . I've also enjoyed short periods of veganism and dabbled in the raw food diet a few times. I love food and I enjoy cooking for the people I love. But more than those things, I love animals. I could never eat my cats, so how could I eat any other living creature? I see no difference between living beings.
Over the years my knowledge of factory farming has grown. Understanding factory farm's negative impact on health, the economy and the environment, as well as my desire for animal rights, increased my desire to create meals that are delicious and free from animal cruelty. I want to be able to say that I have no part in the torture of animals and do not support the companies that abuse them and the world. I have a strong passion for animal free diets and eating compassionately, and started this blog to pass on some recipes I've created or found, so perhaps others can choose to eat compassionately too. For the people who ask, 'What do you eat?', when told I'm a vegetarian, this is what I eat. It's just the same...except much more amazing because no animals were harmed in the process.
I hope you enjoy!
